Job summary

Mildreds Helping Hands LLC in Indiana is seeking Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with IDD in home, school or community settings, providing hands-on care to help them live independently and meet personal goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, meal prep, and medication reminders.
• Support clients in developing social, communication, and life skills.
• Encourage independence and community involvement.
• Monitor client progress and report concerns to supervisors and case managers.
• Maintain documentation and comply with Medicaid, BDS, and agency requirements.
