Job summary

St. John's Community Services in Virginia (Annandale) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the DMV region.

This role emphasizes community inclusion and daily living assistance in a supportive team environment. Interviews will be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams, offering a fast hiring decision and smooth onboarding if selected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for DC; VA preferred.
• One or more years of experience with persons with disabilities.
• Must meet background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and training to persons served across residential, day, and community services.
• Administer medications per procedures after required certifications.
• Assist with transportation and daily activities to promote social inclusion.
• Document support, progress, health matters, and choices daily.
• Attend mandated events, workshops, trainings, investigations and meetings.
• Ensure proper use of agency resources (vehicles, property, finances).
