Job summary

Alay Home Care seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in New Jersey. You will provide hands-on assistance, emotional support, and help with community engagement to foster independence.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, documenting progress, and implementing care plans while maintaining safety and dignity. Relevant certification or experience may be required for medication administration and screenings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous caregiving, healthcare, or DSP experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation if needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients in community integration and social activities.
• Administer medication if certified.
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes.
• Implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment.
