Job summary
Vanderheyden Hall Inc. seeks a Direct Support Professional for adult residential services in Schodack, NY with a new rate increase. Evening and weekend shifts with differential, full-time or part-time opportunities.
The DSP provides direct care, implements treatment plans, assists with daily living activities, and ensures safety and supportive environments. Requires driver’s license and medication certification in probationary period.
Qualifications
- Proof of High School Diploma/GED.
- Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
- Medication certification within provisional period.
- Ability to write legibly and communicate effectively.
Responsibilities
- Care for individuals with safety and therapeutic environment.
- Dispense medication per policy.
- Safely transport individuals as required.
- Assist with daily routines and life skills activities.
- Participate in treatment planning and team processes.
- Assist with personal care and hygiene.
- Maintain boundaries and professional conduct.
- Prepare food per diet plans.
- Complete logs and communications accurately.
- Assist with program supervision and documentation.
- Support quality assurance and agency initiatives.
