Job summary

Devereux is hosting on-the-spot interview events for Direct Support Professionals in multiple New Jersey locations, including Deptford, Sewell, Clayton, Williamstown, Glassboro and nearby areas. Sessions run October 7, 2026 from 12:00pm to 3:00pm with on-site orientation.

Starting pay is $20.42 per hour and increases with education and experience, with 2nd and 3rd shifts available. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, supporting daily living skills, planning and documenting programs,

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid non-provisional driver's license is required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic with a team-based approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and health of individuals in the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs for social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteering, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
