Job summary

Devereux is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in Brick and surrounding areas in Ocean and Monmouth Counties. The starting pay is $20.42 per hour and increases with education and experience. Schedules include 2nd and 3rd shifts, with orientation offered on weekdays.

We look for individuals who ensure safety, support daily living skills, and help participants participate in community activities. A High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required, with a 10-day paid

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a High School Diploma/GED.
• Have a valid non-provisional driver's license.
• Attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Demonstrate empathy and a team approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure our individuals are safe and healthy in the day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist with daily living skills (food prep, cooking, cleaning, shopping).
• Supervise planning, implementation, and documentation of programs addressing social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from the day program.
