Job summary

LCD Agency Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Ohio to provide compassionate, person-centered care in home and community settings. The role emphasizes independence, dignity, safety, and inclusion within ISP-guided services.

The DSP will assist with daily living activities, accompany clients to appointments, and ensure a clean, safe environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality and professional communication with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Background checks must be cleared.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid drivers license preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding as needed.
• Complete light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
• Assist with medication reminders (medication administration only if certified).
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, community activities, shopping, and outings.
• Provide companionship while promoting independence and community integration.
• Follow all ISP, Behavior Support Plans, and Nursing Care Plans.
