Job summary

Peace Love Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Ohio. You will help individuals thrive, stay independent, and engage in community activities, following DODD standards and agency values of peace and love.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to pass a BCI and FBI background check as per Ohio law.
• Completion of required DODD trainings including: orientation, abuse prevention, individual rights, health and safety, and behavior support as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and meaningful engagement to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Support individuals in daily living, community participation, and well-being.
• Assist with activities of daily living, hygiene, grooming, mobility, and meals as needed.
• Support medication administration when certified and per policy.
• Document services, incidents, and progress notes accurately and promptly.
• Report abuse, neglect, exploitation, and incidents as required by law.
