Job summary

Resources for Human Development is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in achieving their ISP goals. Under supervision, the DSP provides trauma-informed, person-centered assistance promoting independence, safety, dignity, and community participation.

The role involves collaboration with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure individuals live as independently as possible while maintaining health and personal choice.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in human services is preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and document in English.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Circle of Support to develop person-centered goals.
• Supports ISP and BSP outcomes.
• Documents progress using agency systems.
• Completes required trainings and applies learned skills.
• Provides safety and supervision to individuals served.
• Transports individuals to appointments and activities.
