Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience as a DSP, caregiver, home health aide, or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine compassion and commitment to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and other ADLs.
• Support community integration by accompanying clients to appointments and activities.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately.
• Administer medications and monitor health conditions as directed.
• Foster independence and skill-building through positive reinforcement and encouragement.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, family members, and care team members.
