Job summary

Amivie, LLC is seeking DSPs to provide direct care and skill-building support for individuals with IDD, mental health, or substance use challenges. You will implement individualized plans, assist with ADLs, and help individuals participate in community activities.

Responsibilities include accurate electronic documentation, safe transportation, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional boundaries while advocating for client rights and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must successfully complete all background checks.
• Must successfully complete health screening (TB).

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with goal completion as documented in the individualized support plan.
• Provide ADL assistance (bathing, grooming, toileting, meals) per plan.
• Safely transport individuals in company or personal vehicles.
• Accompany individuals to community integration activities.
• Complete required documentation in the EHR timely.
• Actively engage with individuals in home and community.
• Uphold rights, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
• Adhere to policies and maintain professional boundaries.
• DSPs are mandated reporters and must report suspected abuse or neglect.
• Administer prescribed medication upon completion of training.
• Must remain awake and alert during shifts.
• Must perform physical tasks (lifting, transfers).
