Envision Unlimited is seeking a Direct Support Professional at the Southside Chicago location to support individuals with disabilities living in a residential setting. You will assist with daily living tasks, personal care, medications, transportation, meals, and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, crisis prevention, and following program guidelines to ensure resident well-being. A strong commitment to respectful, person-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• DSP experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and assist residents with personal grooming and appearance.
• Transport and accompany residents to appointments and other services.
• Supervise and assist residents in taking their medication.
• Assist residents in preparation of daily schedules to include daily chores and activities.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties (vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping).
• Monitor and assist residents with daily bedroom maintenance.
• Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies following Health and Safety procedures.
• Plan menus and assist with meal preparation.
• Perform other essential responsibilities as needed to meet program requirements.
