Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.
• TB, CPR, and first aid certification.
• Completion of provided training and ongoing training as needed.
• 6+ months of social service or life experience with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish a secure, positive environment that nurtures residents' needs, self-expression, and goals.
• Overseeing residents and attending to their needs, including housekeeping.
• Delivering individualized training and care per professionals’ instructions and guidelines.
• Advancing residents’ decision-making, productivity, and participation in activities.
• Promoting independence in daily activities and community involvement.
• Facilitate resident inclusion in the community's experiences and activities.
• Maintaining knowledge of residents’ requirements and compliance with policies.
