Job summary

Aspire Living & Learning in Leominster, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. You will assist with daily activities, meals, recreation, and learning, while promoting independence and well-being.

The role requires empathy, strong communication, and a passion for helping others. A HS diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; Therap familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities in a professional setting strongly preferred.
• Basic computer skills; Therap is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathy, enthusiasm, and a passion and dedication for helping others.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required, with at least 3 years of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.
• Assist with daily activities, household chores, meal preparation, recreation, learning and physical fitness.
• Represent the needs, wants, and interests of individuals served and contribute to program planning.
