Job summary

Avancer Homes LLC - Genesis Day Training Center LLC is seeking a DT Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals in daily living activities and execute strategy outcomes. You will document progress and collaborate with the DT Administrator and interdisciplinary team to ensure a safe, abuse-free environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, toileting, transitions, and consistent engagement in activities, while complying with all policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) preferred.
• Medication administration certification or ability to become administrator of medication.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Illinois driver's license with good driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Individuals with activities of daily living to ensure proper care.
• Implement strategy outcomes for Individuals' plans.
• Document strategy outcomes and issues promptly.
• Provide input to DT Administrator and Interdisciplinary Team.
• Incorporate repositioning, toileting, and self-care into daily routine.
• Request materials needed for completing strategy outcomes.
• Engage Individuals in activities at all times.
• Assist in AM/PM transition duties, driving vans and safe transport.
• Participate in evacuation and emergency response procedures.
• Attend in-services, trainings, and department meetings.
• Adhere to policies and procedures; protect rights and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned by DT Administrator or Executive Director.
