Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Raleigh, North Carolina to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily living, personal care, and community participation. You will document progress and help clients achieve personal goals in a safe, supportive home and community setting.

The role requires good communication, a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, CPR/FA certification, and a willingness to work with sensitive populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/FA certification required.
• NCI/CPI Training preferred.
• TB screening required.
• Active driver’s license required.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Proficiency in English required.
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on specific goals and ensure a safe environment for clients.
