Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Direct Support Professional in North Carolina to provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and improve quality of life.

You will assist with daily living activities, possibly transport clients, and document progress while ensuring safety. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CPR/FA, NCI/CPI training, a valid driver’s license, and excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CPR/FA certification
• NCI/CPI Training
• Active driver’s license
• Experience with individuals with IDD is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal prep and household chores
• May transport clients to and from community activities
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and independence
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities
• Document observations and progress on goals and ensure a safe environment for clients
