Maxim Healthcare in Chapel Hill, NC is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them achieve personal goals and improve daily living.

You will provide support with personal care, household tasks, transportation to activities, and documentation of progress in a safe, respectful environment to promote independence and community participation.

Qualifications

• CPR/FA certification required.
• NCI/CPI training completed or able to obtain.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active TB screening as part of onboarding.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsabilités

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal prep, and household chores.
• May transport clients to and from community activities.
• Support individuals in achieving developmental goals and fostering independence.
• Encourage community participation and accompany individuals on outings and social activities.
• Document observations and progress on goals and maintain a safe environment.
