Job summary

Achieving True Self is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Bethel Park, PA. You will provide direct support to young adults and adults in homes and community settings, helping them build life and social skills while embracing a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (minimum) and 18+ years old.
• Experience supporting adults or children with intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) a plus.
• Background checks and TB screening required upon hire.
• Valid CPR certification upon hire; CPR training provided if not valid at hire.
• Ability to use iPad/tablet devices for documentation; comfortable with Windows and Google products.
• Valid PA driver’s license with proof of car insurance, registration, and a good driving record.
• Own reliable, clean vehicle; rideshare or public transit not suitable.

Responsibilities

• Spend substantial time with clients to build therapeutic rapport.
• Complete documentation for services; collect and evaluate data; collaborate with team on strategies.
• Provide direct support per service plan and ODP guidelines.
• Assist with activities of daily living and independent living skills.
• Transport clients in own vehicle to community activities, meetings, and events.
• Support development of life skills, leisure interests, health and wellbeing, self-determination, and self-advocacy.
• Engage with the community and utilize community service organizations to support clients.
