Job summary

Apploi in Scranton, PA is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to live meaningful, independent lives in home and community settings.

You will help with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure safety, dignity, and well-being while following individualized care plans and BSPs. Joining a supportive team offers flexible schedules and rewarding work.

Qualifications

• Experience as DSP required.
• Experience with BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Compassionate, dependable and adaptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility and companionship.
• Encourage independence, social engagement and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, therapy sessions and community activities.
• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
