Job summary

Chimes is seeking a caregiver for residential support to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges. The role focuses on person-centered care in the home and community, including daily living skills and adherence to individual plans.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, teaching independence, coordinating with nursing staff, and maintaining a safe, respectful environment. Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must have a driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull adequate weight to assist individuals (may be more than 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Work in the residence of a person served as personal support and actively engage with them.
• Provide supervision and training to adults with developmental disabilities to promote growth.
• Ensure the house is personalized to each person’s preferences and needs.
• Teach and instruct individuals to do as much as possible for themselves per program plans.
• Communicate with day program staff about individual programs when requested.
• Assist with medication administration and related safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the home.
