Job summary

Embracelifeservices is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their family home and community in Arizona. You may work full-time, part-time, or on-call shifts, with schedules based on client needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends.

You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, medication administration (as trained), and fostering independence.

Qualifications

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal prep.
• Support mobility through transfers and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly (if trained).
• Provide companionship and promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Communicate effectively with families, guardians, and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.
• Support individuals with mobility, transfers, and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document accordingly (if trained).
• Provide companionship and emotional support while promoting self-advocacy and independence.
• Assist individuals in learning life skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and communication.
• Encourage community involvement with outings, recreation, and social activities.
• Support individuals in achieving ISP goals and maintaining safety and dignity.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress notes, and incident reports.
