Job summary

Volunteers of America Southeast, Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional for Griffin, GA. This entry-level role offers two shift options (2nd/3rd) with weekend rotation and starting pay of $15 per hour.

Responsibilities include guiding individuals toward independence, providing daily care tasks, and maintaining accurate documentation. A high school diploma or GED and a Georgia driver’s license are required; CPR/First Aid training is a plus.

Qualifications

• The DSP role requires being 18 years or older with a HS diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families and staff.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience and respect in daily interactions.

Responsibilities

• Guide and encourage individuals to achieve their maximum independence.
• Assist with personal care, daily living tasks and documentation.
• Maintain safety, dignity and respectful engagement in activities.
