Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking Direct Support Professionals for part-time roles in Bowling Green, OH and nearby areas. No experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, including CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet specific requirements including (but not limited to): No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points.
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. Training for this position is provided in its entirety sono experience is required.
