Bellwood Developmental Center in Illinois is seeking experienced, creative and dependable Part Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for weekends to join our dynamic, caring and close-knit community.

The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing resident care and support in activities of daily living, meals, hygiene, and safeguarding privacy under HIPAA guidelines. Training will be provided; no DSP certification is required to be hired.

SUMMARY:

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents in a DD setting. Facility will train you to be a Direct Support Professional. DSP Certification Not necessary to be hired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Provide assistance in personal hygiene by assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
