Job summary

Bellwood Developmental Center, an 82-bed ICF/DD facility, is seeking experienced Direct Support Professionals for full-time, part-time, and PRN roles across all shifts.

DSPs provide resident care, support activities of daily living, assist with meals, hygiene, and safety, while maintaining privacy and HIPAA compliance. No DSP certification is required to be hired; on-the-job training will be provided.

SUMMARY: The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing resident care and support in all activities of daily living and ensures the health, welfare and safety of all residents in a DD setting. Facility will train you to be a Direct Support Professional. DSP Certification Not necessary to be hired.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES of aDirect Support Professional (DSP):

Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; providing fresh water and nourishment between meals.

Provide assistance in personal hygiene by assisting with travel to the bathroom; helping with showers and baths.

Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.

Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.
