BAYADA Home Health Care on Hawaii's Big Island is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community settings.

The role involves helping clients engage in daily activities, build life skills, and participate in preferred hobbies, with ongoing clinical support available.

Qualifications

• One year experience supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to transport clients to community activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• The ability to read and write in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living and community activities.
• Support participation in hobbies, appointments, and errands.
• Provide personal care as needed with sensitivity and respect.

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour and up based on experience

As a DSP, you will support individuals as they engage in community activities, develop life skills, build social connections, and enjoy meaningful experiences that promote independence and inclusion.

Locations: Hilo, Keaau, Mt View, Pepeekeo, Ocean View, Hawi, Kealakekua

Type: Part-Time, Weekdays & Weekends

How You’ll Make an Impact:

• Spend time on the client’s favorite hobbies and activities.
• Participate in community integration activities, errands, and appointments.
• Patiently teach, encourage, and celebrate small achievements, giving people the space to grow.
• Opportunity to enhance caregiving skills with support from our clinical managers.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed
