Job summary

Scioto Trails is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Lucasville, Ohio. No experience required; paid orientation and training provided.

Must have a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, insurance, and be available to work evenings and weekends. The DSP will assist individuals with developmental disabilities, helping maintain a safe living environment, support daily activities, and promote independence through teaching and supervision.

Job Description

Direct Support Professionals are responsible to provide direct services and supports to the individual with developmental/intellectual disabilities, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, bathing, personal hygiene, meal preparation and completion of various household tasks; and supervising, teaching, and assisting the individual in every aspect of their life, with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment. Must Possess all of the Following

A sincere desire to provide direct service and support to persons with developmental/intellectual disables; ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
