Job summary

Scioto Trails seeks a Direct Support Professional for the Day Program in Piketon, Ohio. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday 1pm–9pm with occasional weekends and offers paid training. New pay scale reflects experience in developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include direct support, daily living assistance, meal prep, and safety oversight to promote independence and empowerment for individuals we serve.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, personal hygiene, meals, and household tasks.

NEW PAY SCALE: $16.05/hour-$20.61/hour (Based on years of experience in the Developmental Disabilities field)

Job Description - Direct Support Professionals are responsible to provide direct services and supports to the individual with developmental/intellectual disabilities, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, bathing, personal hygiene, meal preparation and completion of various household tasks; and supervising, teaching, and assisting the individual in every aspect of their life, with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment. Must Possess all of the Following - A sincere desire to provide direct service and support to persons with developmental/intellectual disables; ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.
