Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hampstead, NC. DSPs help clients live independently and participate in daily activities.

You will assist with ADLs, behavioral support, and community participation, with paid training, weekly pay, and growth opportunities within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.).
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
