Job summary

Abound Health is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Oak Island, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background and registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support to help individuals build independence and confidence.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support participation in community activities, employment, and social events.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound Health team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Engage in ongoing training and professional development.
