Job summary

Abound Health in Hampstead, NC is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

You'll build positive relationships, support daily living tasks, and help clients develop new skills. We offer flexible schedules (FT/PT), weekly pay, paid onboarding, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Experience with disabilities not required – paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
