Job summary

Winter Family Care, LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Duluth or Hermantown, MN. The DSP will support individuals with disabilities in licensed facilities, helping with daily living skills, meals, hygiene, mobility, and community involvement.

The role is full-time with day or overnight shifts. We offer paid training, medical/dental/life insurance, and a retention bonus up to $1,000 every six months, plus parental leave and a position that makes a meaningful difference.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, respectful and dependable
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and clean background check (required)
• Experience is a plus but not required; training provided

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living skills, community involvement, and personal goals.
• Assist with medication administration, hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Foster meaningful relationships and encourage independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards.
• Assist with planning daily activities and community outings to promote community integration.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Location: A mix of multiple Winter Family Care licensed facilities

Status: Full-time (day shift or overnight shifts available!)

Pay rate: $20.50 per hour + Shift Differentials

What You'll Do:

• Support individuals with daily living skills, community involvement, and personal goals.
• Assist with medication administration, hygiene, meals, and mobility.
• Foster meaningful relationships and encourage independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety standards.
• Assist individuals with planning of daily activities and community outings by encouraging community integration.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements
