Job summary

Dungarvin in Jacksonville, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide direct support and positive guidance to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. You will empower clients to live as independently as possible while respecting dignity.

Compensation includes $15.75/hour with full-time medical, vision, dental insurance, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, training, and development opportunities as part of a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Possesses valid driver license due to transporting persons served.
• Successful background clearance as part of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure comfort, safety, and personal growth of individuals served.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mobility, dressing, bathing, and personal hygiene.

Job Description

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
