Job summary

Graceworks Enhanced Living in Ohio seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No experience is necessary; training is provided.

DSPs help with daily needs, transportation, meals, bathing, and social activities, fostering independence and a caring community. Role includes driving to transport residents, supporting church or volunteer events, and activities like bowling or movies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with <6 points.
• Willing to drive company vans.
• Drug screen conducted during pre-hire process (Marijuana not exempt).

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily needs, including cooking, cleaning, and transportation.
• Provide medication assistance as needed and accompany residents to activities.
• Engage residents in social events, church, or volunteer activities.
• Support independence and companionship within the community.

Position description:

• Direct Support Professionals are caregivers. No experience is necessary, training is provided.
• The ideal candidate is someone who is anaturally kind and compassionate person that would enjoy helping people and having fun with them.
• DSPs often take care of daily needs; cooking, cleaning, transportation, medication assistance, bathing etc. On occasion, they will take individuals bowling or to the movies, and often join individuals at church or volunteer events.

The goal is to help our residents feel and become as independent as possible while they live their daily lives. Be a companion; learn to be a caregiver for someone in your community!

Minimum Qualifications
