Job summary

Independent Beginnings in Springfield, OH is hiring caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, and transportation, building trusting relationships in a respectful, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written.
• A personal vehicle that is well maintained if transporting clients.
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check.

• $18.00 - $19.00/hour (based on experience, longevity, and behavior)
• $3 weekend add-on rate (applies to select shifts)

In This Role, You’ll

Preferred Experience

• One year working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver / Home Health Aide / Home Health Care / Personal Care experience is a plus

Licenses/Certifications

• CPR/First Aid - Provided if you are not currently certified
• Medication Administration - Provided if you are not currently certified
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 5 points on your driving record if transporting clients
• DODD Provider Training
• Proof of personal auto insurance
