Job summary

Graceworks Enhanced Living in Ohio is looking for Direct Support Professionals to provide daily living assistance to adults with developmental disabilities. No experience is necessary, training is provided, and you will help with activities and daily tasks to support residents’ independence.

Positions available for full-time and part-time shifts; competitive wages with experience, paid training including CPR/First Aid, and benefits offered for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• Ohio Driver's License with less than 6 points
• Must be willing to drive company vans to transport individuals (training provided)
• Drug screen including Marijuana conducted pre-hire (holding a medical card does not provide exemption)

Responsibilities

• Caregivers who assist with daily needs (cooking, cleaning, transportation, medication assistance, bathing)
• Engage residents in activities such as bowling, movies, church or volunteer events
• Help residents develop independence and companionship within the community

Position description:

• Direct Support Professionals are caregivers. No experience is necessary, training is provided.
• The ideal candidate is someone who is anaturally kind and compassionate person that would enjoy helping people and having fun with them.
• DSPs often take care of daily needs; cooking, cleaning, transportation, medication assistance, bathing etc. On occasion, they will take individuals bowling or to the movies, and often join individuals at church or volunteer events.

The goal is to help our residents feel and become as independent as possible while they live their daily lives.Be a companion; learn to be a caregiver for someone in your community!
