Dungarvin in Gallup, NM seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them live as independently as possible with dignity and respect.

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
• Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
• Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
• Document progress, milestones, and action steps.
• No experience? If you meet the basic job requirements, we will provide the necessary paid training and hands-on experience

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect.
