Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver in Minnesota to provide individualized support to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This full-time role offers a starting rate of $18.50 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage and retirement options.

You will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and document progress as part of person-centered supports.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, budgeting, appointments, community activities
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development
• Support individuals in achieving ISP goals and document progress
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors
• Transport individuals to appointments and community outings
• Complete accurate and timely electronic documentation

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
• Ability tolift upto 50lbs
