Job summary

Dungarvin is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Minnesota to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living activities and community participation. You will promote independence, document progress, and support ISPs while working with a compassionate team.

Starting at $18.50/hr, the role offers benefits including medical, vision, dental, 401(k) with employer match, PTO, and mileage reimbursement. Training is provided to ensure success on the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to assist individuals with personal cares and activities of daily living (ADLs).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• Assist with activities of daily living, household tasks, meals, shopping, budgeting, appointments, and community activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and promote independence and life skills.
• Support individuals in achieving ISPs and document progress.
• Observe changes, concerns, and progress and communicate with supervisors.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities as needed.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation per program and regulatory requirements.

Job Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including those with potential behavioral support needs.
• Assistwith activities of daily living, household cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, budgeting, personal goals, appointments, community activities, and engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.
• Promote independence, personal choice, and life skills development.
• Support individuals in achieving goals andobjectivesoutlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and document progress accordingly.
• Observe and communicate changes, concerns, and progress to supervisors and team members.
• Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and community outings as needed.
• Completeaccurateandtimelyelectronic documentationin accordance withprogram and regulatory requirements.

Required (Must-Have)

• Minimum of 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, or squat for extended periods
