Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) in Youngstown, OH. DSPs provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in intermediate care facilities and in their homes.

Training is provided in full, so no prior experience is required. We offer paid training including CPR/First Aid, a benefits package for full-time employees, paid time off, annual pay increases, flexible schedules, and an employee referral program.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid OH driver's license and car insurance.
• Personal, reliable vehicle to transport individuals.
• Motor Vehicle Record must meet ViaQuest's Authorized Driver Criteria.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs, and can climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities – our goal is to foster increased independence, choice and empowerment while assuring that their health and safety needs are being met at all times.
• Supervising, teaching and assisting individuals in all aspects of his/her life.
• Completing various household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
