Job summary

ViaQuest is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Columbus, OH and surrounding areas. This on-site, part-time role offers a starting pay of $17.25–$18.25 per hour with opportunities for paid training and a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

Training is provided, and a variety of schedules are available. The DSP will support individuals with developmental disabilities, help foster independence, and accompany clients to activities and appointments while maintaining a safe

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and car insurance.
• Personal reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Fewer than 6 points on driving record in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting independence, choice and empowerment while ensuring health and safety at all times.
• Supervise, teach and assist individuals in all aspects of daily living.
• Perform household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Transport clients to community activities and appointments.

At ViaQuest Residential Services our DSPs provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. We are l ooking for strong DSP's that love being the community everyday. Has a lot patience and likes a fast paced environment. Training for this position is provided in its entirety .
