Job summary

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) at EON, Inc. provides care to individuals with disabilities in our community, supporting daily living activities and fostering independence. The role is part-time, non-exempt, with flexible scheduling and ESOP-based ownership.

The DSP must hold a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record check, and be able to read and write in English. A positive work ethic and ability to work without direct supervision are essential. EON, Inc.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with dressing, grooming, hygiene, and other daily living functions.
• Assist individuals with bedtime routines, administering medications, physical therapy, etc.
• Support and teach individuals independent living skills i.e.: routines, meal prep, cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, proper hygiene, medications, appointments, shopping, etc.
• Assist individuals in accessing the community and participating in recreation and leisure activities.
• Assist to resolve challenging situations as they arise.

Schedule:

P art-time position available with flexible scheduling (i ncludes every other weekend ).

As a DSP you must have the ability to exercise flexibility and assertiveness, have a positive work ethic, problem solve, and navigate challenging situations effectively. A DSP must also be able to work without direct supervision.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Must not be disqualified by criminal background studies.
• Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment form (pushing/pulling, lifting, bending, etc.).
• Able to read and write in English.
• Able to document information electronically.
