Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in St. Louis, MO, seeks Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with disabilities in high behavior supported living homes. This role focuses on daily living support, safety, and respectful care within a structured home setting.

You will help maintain clean living spaces, assist with ISP goals, and document progress under supervision. Medications are administered under nurse oversight, with ongoing training and teamwork essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Valid auto insurance and driver’s license required.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities.
• Create a supportive and clean home environment.
• Support skill acquisition and enhancement as outlined in ISP.
• Assist with daily living tasks and ensure cleanliness and organization.
• Administer medications under nurse supervision.
• Document client progress and goals.
• Engage individuals in age-appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities.
• Safely transport individuals as needed.
• Collaborate with co-workers to enhance growth.
• Participate in ongoing professional training.
• Other duties as assigned.
