Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a caring Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for a 23-year-old adult who is blind and has autism in Monmouth County. The role focuses on companionship, daily living assistance, and community participation.

You will help build independence, follow a service plan, maintain safety, and complete required documentation, with shifts Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 3 pm, in Marlboro Township/Manalapan area of NJ. Driving on shift is required.

Qualifications

We are looking for a caring, patient, and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a 23-year-old individual who is blind and has autism. Assist with personal assistance around the house and help build independence, outings and walks. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and enjoys helping others.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.




• Help the individual participate in activities, hobbies and out in the community.




• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, and life skills.




• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.




• Provide routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.




• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.




• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
