Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one companionship and support for an adult with developmental disabilities in Union, NJ. Compensation ranges from $17 to $21 per hour, with a schedule on Tuesday and Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm, in Cranford, NJ.

Driving on shift is REQUIRED. The DSP will work closely with the individual to stay engaged, build independence, and participate in home and community activities, while ensuring safety and reliable communication

Qualifications

• Experience with adults with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Ability to work Tue/Thu 4-6 pm.
• Comfortable providing in-home and community-based support.

About This Opportunity

This individual is looking for a RELIABLE and committed DSP who can provide companionship, for a 25 year old individual with Autism. DSP will be supportive, encouraging, and attentive to the individual’s needs, helping them stay engaged, build independence, and enjoy meaningful experiences at home and in the community.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.

• Help the individual participate in Community Based and In Home Supports.

• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.

• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.

• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.

• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.

• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
