Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a caring Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Sewell, NJ. You will help with daily living, accompany them on community outings, and support independence.

This role requires weekend availability (Saturdays and Sundays) with a consistent schedule; a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are preferred. Prior DSP or caregiving experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Ability to reliably work the posted schedule.
• Comfortable providing one-to-one support in home and community settings.
• Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Experience in DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs and provide one-to-one companionship.
• Support participation in community outings and everyday activities.
• Help with errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, and social opportunities.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, and life skills.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized service plans.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with the Kindly team.

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a caring, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Sewell, NJ.

This individual is looking for a consistent DSP who can provide companionship, help them get out into the community, and encourage greater independence. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and helping another person participate more fully in everyday life.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with ADLS
• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in community outings such as movies, aquariums, out to eat, and movies.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
