Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Bucks County, PA.

You’ll work in homes and communities, assisting with daily activities, supporting independence, and promoting safety, dignity, and respect. We offer flexible scheduling, part-time and full-time opportunities, and training to prepare you for success in a meaningful role near home.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass PA background clearances.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license preferred and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily activities like meal prep, personal care, and household tasks.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
• Help individuals participate in community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
• Follow individual support plans and health or behavioral strategies.
• Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times.
• Communicate openly with supervisors and complete basic documentation.

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them live fuller, more independent lives. This role is about connection, trust, and showing up for someone in meaningful ways every day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting individuals with daily activities like meal prep, personal care, and household tasks

• Ensuring safety, dignity, and respect at all times

Who We’re Looking For

• Kind, dependable, and patient people who genuinely care
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass PA background clearances
• Comfortable working independently while being part of a supportive team
• Experience with IDD is a plus, but not required(we provide training)
