Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) is seeking compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, meaningful routines, and strong community connections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience supporting individuals with IDD is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meal preparation, household tasks).
• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
• Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans.
• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times.
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required.
