Job summary

Thrive Community Support Services (Thrive CSS) seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with IDD in their homes and communities. DSPs build independence, routines, and meaningful community connections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass required background checks (PA clearances).
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• IDD experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (personal care, meals, household tasks).
• Support skill development to promote independence and self-advocacy.
• Encourage participation in community activities, employment, and social opportunities.
• Follow individual support plans, behavioral support strategies, and health plans.
• Ensure health, safety, rights, and dignity are upheld at all times.
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
• Communicate changes, concerns, or incidents to supervisors as required.
